This Technical Certificate unit is based on the national occupational standards unit that involves shaping/cutting glass for glazing installations. The candidate has to measure and shape the glass accurately to the required dimensions. The correct type of glass has to be selected for particular installations to meet various requirements including health and safety and in accordance with regulations and codes of practice.
