This Technical Certificate unit relates to the national occupational standards units involving fenestration activities and the installation of glass supporting frames and units in position that have been prepared for their fitment. The candidate has to prepare and correctly position the glass supporting frames and units and securely fix them in place. Surface finishes, fixtures and fittings have to be reinstated. The Installations are sealed where necessary against water penetration and drainage holes are cleared. Any cosmetic and remedial work is completed, the work checked and the customer provided with all the relevant information and the keys handed over.
