Outline
One of the aims of the Technical Certificate is to recognise underpinning knowledge and understanding in relation to the glass industry National Occupational Standards. To attract funding it should be taken in conjunction with the appropriate Level 3 NVQ Qualification, as well as Key Skills ( Application of Numbers and Communication at Level 2).
This Technical Certificate must be taken solely in one theme. That is the candidate couldn't take some units under the heading of say Glazing, then the others under Fenestration. They must all come from the same occupational background.
Requirements
To achieve this qualification the candidate must must take four (4) Mandatory Units, (01 to 04), plus one optional Unit relating to their occupational area. (from Units 05 to 13)

- GQA L3 Certificate in Glass Related Operations (Glazing Installation and Maintenance)
- GQA L3 Certificate in Glass Related Operations (Production of Glass Supporting Fabrications.)
